Blaine’s proprietor, Chuck Hellman, was born and raised in Cincinnati, and graduated from Turpin High School and the University of Cincinnati. He moved to New York City in 1983 to begin his fashion and business career with Macy’s. In 2011, Chuck became CEO of luxury menswear brand Robert Graham. Wanting his own retail store, and looking for an excuse to visit his mother more often, Chuck purchased Blaine’s, using his New York connections to identify distinctive fashions for the Cincinnati market. Chuck and Susan, married for 31 years, have two grown children and divide their time between Cincinnati and the Jersey Shore they call home.
